Yeah, well if Chris Carter doesn't care, neither do I.

With only 6 episodes left he gives us Burt Reynolds! WTF???

He has what, 8, 9 years of loose ends to tie up and he gives us crap like that.

Oh sure, it was funny. But WTF? Come on man, throw us a friggin' bone here. And even the preview from next Sunday looks lame.

This pisses me off as much as Twin Peaks did when they KNEW they were being canned and they still ended the series with cliffhanger! And to make it worse, Lynch made a TP movie that STILL didn't resolve anything.

Grrrr. CC is really making me mad. Sure DD will return, but for what, to cram all the threads into one series finale which will end hinting at a movie that will never be made. I give up on XF and I give up on this site.

Feel free to visit my other page, but for now, the X-Files are closed for good.

Well I hate to see a fun idea like this Blog die a slow death. But it certainly has been doing just that.

Any new visitors who want to join in the fun just leave us a comment and we will add you in.

Although, since this is the LAST season for the X-Files, I am not sure what point there is to it. We all pretty much agree that it sucks now.

Here's a question: What new show will fill up the hour that X-Files vacates in your life?

I have been thinking of maybe picking up ALIAS or CSI. How about you?

"I don't get it"

Is it just me... or has the X-files lost something (other than Mulder)? I can't seem to get into it this year. Last year, I still was all fired up about it. I was anxious to see how they'd explain Mulder's disappearance, Scully's pregnancy, the whole alien thing. I was even hoping to see CSM, X, or even Samantha resurrected. But I don't see that happening. In fact, I'm not even sure what they ARE doing with this season. Are they starting a new mytharc? Does anyone know? Do THEY know? Just my 0.5 cents worth.

Even "MORE" Unsure About the X-Files

I'm with Promo. After watching the second episode I'm not sure what to think anymore. It almost feels like Scully's part is written as an afterthought. Sorta like, "What can we do with HER?" And as a Skinner Wench I wonder what HIS continuing role will be, especially with the addition of Cary Elwes as an Assistant Director. Is Skinner still an AD? Was he demoted? So far, I don't think that question has been answered. And Lucy Lawless as CC's version of "Superwoman'? C'mon now.

I miss the old mytharc. I miss the alien conspiracy theory. I miss Kyrcek. I even miss (God Forbid) CSM. If this storyline continues, I may even embrace the MTOW episodes. Then again, maybe not. I'll reserve judgement for a few more shows. Worse comes to worse... there's always football....

Unsure about The "new" X-Files

As for XF, I think we are watching a new show emerge. The opening credits were interesting. I never understood the "falling Mulder" in the opening, and I really hated that when DD was on the show, his name was first in the credits. Seems there is new music, but it seems to slickly produced - doesn't seem to be as creepy as before.

The Scully & Mulder show is no more. I've even read that Scully will be assigned to be the forensic examiner at the FBI academy (or something like that) so she won't even be involved with the FBI's X-Files anymore, not directly. Sounds like they are trying to get us used to her not being around anymore.

As for the plot, this whole Super Soldier conspiracy sounds so lame. I hope it is just misdirection, because it just sounds weak. I was really suprised that they resolved the Samantha storyline as early as they did (I recall CC saying they won't resolve it until the very last episode - oops, guess not). I like the aliens, I love the old conspiracy. But I guess to keep it fresh and new, we need new enemies.

Was good to see the Exposition boys again, AKA the Lone Gunmen. It was nice to see them touch on their failed series, would be nice to hear how the cliffhanger would have been resovled.

Scully's baby was not really doing it for me. Creepy babies, I dunno, to me, I don't like it. Creepy 6 year olds, now that freaks me out.

Mulder was in the shower and had packed his bags. He's in hiding. Skinner wants our new XF team to drop the investigation into Kersh. Sorry but neither of these sound very in character. Mulder has never been one to run from things, rather he ran *to* them. Skinner who now is a believer, suddenly is scared of them, scared for the baby. If Mulder was scared for the baby, and Skinner was scared for the baby and Scully was too, WTH didn't they take the baby into hiding? That makes no sense!

Guess we have to buy the whole concept. Maybe they will make it better.

It was good to see Lucy Lawless, she has really penetrating eyes. I don't get the whole Aqua-Girl thing, but then again, I still don't get aliens with no mouths or eyes.

It isn't appointment television anymore, no longer is it must-see TV. What I'd like, jettison Gillian and just do Scully and Mulder movies, leave the TV show to the new team - that'd be fine by me. Leaving Scully in it now is just odd. Either she should be Doggett's partner or be gone. The phrase "third wheel" comes to mind.

They have one more season to either get it right or wrap it up. Right now, I don't care which one it is.

ARGH!!!!!!!

I'm going out of town on Sunday and I will MISS the show. I can't believe my incredible LOUSY timing. (Murphy's law...I live it, I breath it) Now if they would have kept the schedule as originally intended and skipped the Emmy's, we'd have discussed the finer points of the XF premiere already. But NOW I have to tape it and watch it whenever I get a chance. Course then again, maybe someone can clue me in before I watch the whole episode and tell me if Skinner looks as HOT as he always does. Just a thought....

In case you missed them, and I did, here are a slew of images from the new XF cast.

Mmmmm, mmmmm! That Annabeth is looking mighty tasty!

And yeah, like Smiley said, the premiere, that was supposed to be this weekend (grrr) was moved to the 11th. So, mark your callendar, kids!

One more thing, here is a blurb on the plot of the premiere episode.
SkinMan

OK, just a measley nine days til we can see the MAN in action. I've heard that he finally made opening credits too. Anyone confirm this?

Of course for you fellas that don't get a thrill out of the surly one, you get to see Lucy Lawless. What does SHE do for you? Hmmm?
